A Christmas Prayer of Blessing

This is a busy time of the year. I won’t write a full blog post today as I am traveling to visit my parents and wish them a merry Christmas. I do want to take this moment to wish you a very Happy Christmas.

A Christmas Prayer for You

Father God, I am so grateful for the many friends around the world you have given to me. Bless them during this Advent season as they think of your coming to earth that first time. You came with such humility as a little baby. Please lead me and those I influence into a child-like humility and faith in you our father. Teach us to boldly proclaim your good news to a world that is broken and desperate for the hope we have within us. Use us Lord to make disciple makers during this season and to lead people into a living relationship with you.

Where they are broken, bring healing. Where they are struggling financially, oh God, please provide as only a good father can. If they lack the courage to face a challenge in their lives, remind them of your promises and give them the ability to believe they are true.

Help my friends stay focused on your command to love you and their neighbors well. May their intimacy and closeness to you grow during these days of Christmas.

Let them sense your Presence and hear your voice anew. Whisper your dreams and plans into their ears, as they also hear the quiet reassurance of your deep and personal love for them as individuals.

Greatly bless them this season and bless their spiritual and physical children. Let them also be a great blessing to many.
